I was born in England where I lived until I was 18 when I immigrated to the United States. I served just over five years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1981 with the rank of sergeant. After my discharge I spent a few years travelling around the United States, then moved back to England where I earned my British Horse Society Stage I (basic care and riding skills qualification). I returned to the U.S. in 1996 and decided to make Oak Park my permanent residence. In 2003 I made Oak Park home to my pet-sitting service - Animal Aunt. It was after I had been laid off from the same career for the second time in two years that a close friend of mine suggested that I channel my love of animals into a pet care business.

When I first started this service I was the sole proprietor and owner/operator. My business statement and goal is to always provide personalized caring, full-service pet care, for when you can't be there. Thanks to word of mouth, in two years my client list grew from one to one hundred plus. Now that I can no longer be sole operator, I have "aunties," friends & acquaintances who work for me on an independent contractor basis. These are people I have known since my move to Oak Park, who provide the same standard of service that my clients are used to receiving from the Animal Aunt. Service is still very personalized, which is one of the main reasons why Animal Aunt has been so successful, not to mention that we also truly love all animals.

My name is Georgina , and I am the Animal Aunt (Auntie G).
